This experience is focused on those who work with clients, and engaging in the business of HR with those clients. As a result, participant groups could be all HRBPs or a cross-functional HR team of specialists aligned to a client group.

Each executiveDRUMTM HRBP & Team Development curriculum is tailored to the business demands of the sponsor company and the development needs of the team of HR professionals in the experience. executiveDRUMTM leadership works with the sponsoring leader(s) to understand the needs and recommend a four month curriculum to meet them. We refine the agenda and launch!
In working with the sponsor of the development, we discuss the needs for evolving the team dynamics of the group. As helpful, our work together can also focus on areas of role clarity, collaboration skills, decision-rights, and trust-building.

Who leads the HRBP & Team Development experience?
David Gunn is dynamic, recognized coach and HR expert. He has been a senior HR executive at Disney and Bank of America, a consulting Partner at PwC, and currently leads the executive development company he founded in 2022. David has an MBA from Wharton, a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, and is a Board Certified Coach. He is the Lead Coach & Facilitator of the HRBP & Team Development experience. How do you tailor the HRBP & Team Experience to our company and our people?
Great question. We work closely to understand the needs of the team, the business context of their work, and the work itself that the team and its’ members lead. We seek to understand the culture and political dynamics that surround the work of the HR team, as well as the broader industry dynamics. Together, we define success measures before we start.
In working with the sponsor of the development, we discuss the needs for evolving the team dynamics of the group. As helpful, our work together can also focus on areas of role clarity, collaboration skills, decision-rights, and trust-building.
Additionally, we strive to incorporate speakers from the sponsor company into the program, as well as reading/listening pre-work that is specific to the company, it’s competitors, and industry. All of this is done with the intent to further learning and engagement.
Finally, as the program launches, the Lead Coach meets with each participant to discuss needs and interests, then brings a recommendation to the group for discussion and agreement.

Participants of the HRBP & Team development experience operate as a team, over time, to engage in rich, facilitated discussion, while concurrently engaging in individual coaching targeted to the person’s unique needs. Tell me more about the logistics and the time commitment.
Our team and group meetings are at your location, and in-person. Individual coaching is normally done virtually, or can be coordinates in-person on the same day as the team meetings. executiveDRUMTM works with the sponsor organization to meet their logistical needs as closely as possible.
Meetings are scheduled well in advance. Participants should expect 4-6 hours of focused time per month, and will have optional reading and engagement beyond that.
